Only had Sunday to work on it since we helped with the tucson dirt riot race this weekend.
Finished cutting the truss plating but ran out of welding gas.

I will run 2in tube through the dimple holes to keep it sealed from the elements.
The 120 wall plate did not take to the dimple die well at first. I tired some heat but found wd-40 as lubricant helped the best.

Today we mocked up the axle found some clearance issues at full bump. Will have. 6in up travel and 6 in down.
Modified the ballistic tower lowered it two inches and made it a bump stop tower.

Mocked up the curry sway bar.

Cycled the suspension and know where link tabs need to be. Notched pan hard bar mout for more clearance at full bump. Grinded diff down for more bushing clearance. Next weekend should have good progress on tabs

On to the mockup links progress.

The uppers had some minor contact to the uppers at full droop but the panhard bar was not adjusted properly.
good progress might have it on its wheel next weekend.

Finish links, Bumps, then sway bar.

Drive shaft clearance at full drop as the axle swings with the track bar proved to be a big problem. Initial testing didnt look bad but need to make some drastic clearancing for the upper link. Our solution is strong and actually looks pretty good with the lower link style.

One days progress... :wtf:

Links installed.

Also finish new exhaust routing to clear the cross member and modified the old skid plate to work with the new cross member.

Next is bump stop mounts, limit straps and sway bar, then we can install springs and test drive it. Next weekend should have it rollin..

Finished the Bump stops. The towers were mounted so the bump stud would just clear the inner frame rail.

We filled the front axle with oil and found one of the inner axle seals I tapped in crooked and was leaking so lost half a day to tear it down. Checked the rear axle oil level and it had ATF in it mixed with gear oil, way to light of an oil so we drained and filled with gear oil. T-case was very low, added 1.5 qts of ATF.

Lost almost a full day working on tail light wiring. found a pack rat got some some wires, the relay that switches the turn signal and brake light to the same wire is missing, still needs more re-wiring to get running lights and brakes.

The stock steering linkage now completely binds at about 10in of shock travel, we had to cut off the stock sway bar mounts and will need to upgrade to a long travel steering linkage later. Shocks are 12in travel. would like everything setup to accept a 14in travel coilover shock down the road but the coil springs are like 4in from the coil buckets at 12in.

got it off jack stands but no test drive waiting on the front diff to dry before adding oil.

three days of work then we get any early holiday start on the weekend.

Not much fab work but alot of messing with wiring. Re wired the tail lights, made some interior LED light strips, added a light to the dash gauge.

joel bought a generic 50In light bar we didnt install, like $106 amazon el cheapo but its pretty cool. bought brackets from Rough country.

Oil changed, brake lines re routed and bled. Drive shaft was clocked wrong, cleaned out the slip splines that were caked with mud and a new Ujoint.

He drove it to work this morning said he got up to 70MPH on I10 but the T-case is leaking and has a sloppy out put bearing we need to fix.

More progress this weekend.
Tore down the NP231 transfercase, replaced the output bushing, output bearing and seal. The Hack and tap SYE kit had a home made spacer that was free to spin out of round I made a new spacer that would stay centered. Hope this fixes help with the highway driveline vibe.

Working on the AC one compressor bolt broke off into the bracket. There was no oil at all in the compressor that was used an OBA. All AC components order except evaporator (only usable piece) next weekend should get all that installed.

Finally mounted both rear fenders. 7 bolts per side. Ran out of primer but Joel might finish painting this week. He doesn't start school till Friday.
