Today we worked on the AC.

The comanche has a 1995 cherokee motor. the AC system I think is the same for 1993-98 cherokees with R134a.
Compressor PN:4717005 replaced our old PN:55036697
Condenser radiator PN: CH3030151
Dryer, receiver, Accumulator PN: 0233562
Expansion Valve PN: 3411290

Hoses
PN: 56831
PN: 56830
PN: 56834
PN:55037203 (Accumulator to Expansion valve)

Only part we didnt buy was the evaporator in the dash.

The last hose was hard to find and didnt know we needed it.
It was surprisingly difficult to make this kit ~$500 in parts should have AC next weekend.

Car alarm is done, Added door lock solenoids so now it has power locks. Did some fancy relay work interior lights flash and exterior lights flash with the alarm. Wired the relay and switch for the light bar but didnt mount it yet.

Then on to the more fun Stereo stuff.
JVC head unit installed and all RCAs run back to the amp. Ended up only using a 4 channel fosgate amp.

The box is 1.2 cu ft per chamber, internally braced and poly filled. The bracing makes the box more rigid, it also splits up the box volume making its natural frequency higher further from the subs operating frequency, The bracing is not symetrical so that the split volume each has a different resonate frequency.

Need to buy vinyl for next weekend to do the finish work and plan to make a center console.

Finished the light bar install but it has a high pitch hum, it is defective. Was only $100 so likely not worth paying shipping to return it. We sandwiched the aluminum mounts between the light and the rough country mounts to give it a good biting surface and had to use custom length screws.

Used a 2x4 and a suction cup to help mockup position.

Did the finishing touches on the Sub Box. Vinyl wraped, aluminum end caps, and tabs to bolt it down to the truck. The ends caps look cool but are completely hidden once installed.

Plans to make a matching center console, door panels and sun visors.

Fixed the leaky steering box pittman arm seal. Used a wood screw to grab the first seal and shot out the second seal using the box pressure with truck running.

Friday I picked up the new 1310 CV balanced rear driveshaft from Tim at precision products. After installing Joel said he got it up to 85MPH with no more driveline vibes.

After adding the AC the cooling on the truck can not always keep up and it can overheat on a hot day. Joel installed a pod and temp gauge and later we will have to upgrade the fans to higher CFM.
